Ardmore Distillery, located on the edge of the Grampian Mountains in Aberdeenshire. Founded in 1898, Ardmore is unique among Highland distilleries for producing a traditionally peated spirit, giving its whisky a distinctive smoky and earthy character. Over time, Ardmore has developed a strong reputation with independent bottlers for its reliability, consistency, and excellent maturation performance.
The distillery’s spirit combines gentle Highland peat, soft sweetness, and a clean mineral edge. It is particularly well suited to bourbon cask maturation, where it develops freshness, subtle fruit, and refined smoke.
